From Hustle and Grind to Following Your Intuition

For most of my 20s, I lived in a constant state of hustle and grind.
I went to college, earned the degree, and started teaching in an incredibly challenging environment, working with students who had been kicked out of traditional public education.
It was hard work.
I learned a lot.
And at the time, I remember thinking, Well, it can only get easier from here.
So I kept going.
More degrees.
More certifications.
More responsibility.
More money.
More goals.
And I met those goals - honestly, I blew past many of them much faster than I ever expected.
From the outside, I was doing everything I was “supposed” to do.
I was successful.
I was driven.
I was accomplishing things.
But as I neared 30, something inside me started shifting.
I began looking at my life differently.
I was married. My relationship was safe, but it was also stagnant.
And even though I did not have the language for it at the time, I was changing.
I was evolving.
I was growing.
Eventually, I got divorced and lived alone for the first time in my life.
That chapter taught me so much about myself.
Around that same time, I also sustained a significant injury - another pivotal, life-changing experience that forced me to slow down, reflect, and see my life through a different lens.
My 30s became a decade of questions.
Who am I?
What do I actually want?
What matters to me?
What feels true?
What am I doing because I genuinely want it - and what am I doing because I was taught I should?
I began intentionally learning, growing, and seeking support.
I worked with healers.
I sought guidance.
I read.
I learned.
I listened.
I began paying attention to myself in an entirely different way.
Instead of only chasing the next accomplishment, I started tuning inward.
I began noticing my intuition.
I began recognizing the nudges.
I began trusting that there might be another way to move through life.
And as I approached 40, one message became impossible for me to ignore:
I could not continue teaching for another 30+ years.
There was simply more calling me.
I wanted more.
I needed more.
Not more accomplishments.
Not more certificates.
Not more things to prove.
I wanted more connection.
More purpose.
More freedom.
More alignment.
More love.
More joy.
More peace.
I wanted a life that felt like mine.
And I think, in one form or another, so many of us experience this transformation.
We spend years hustling.
Chasing.
Doing.
Achieving.
Checking boxes.
Trying to become successful.
Trying to become secure.
Trying to become enough.
And then, at some point, we pause.
We look around.
And we ask:
Is this really it?
Is there more to life than constantly pushing?
Can life feel abundant without always being exhausting?
Can things flow?
Can I actually trust myself?
Can I build a life filled with love, peace, joy, purpose, and ease?
I believe we can.
And this is one of the reasons intuitive coaching has become one of my favorite parts of my work.
Because I understand what it feels like to live from achievement first.
I understand what it feels like to keep moving because stopping long enough to listen feels unfamiliar.
And I understand what it feels like when that inner voice becomes impossible to ignore.
Intuitive coaching creates space to reconnect with yourself.
To slow down.
To ask the deeper questions.
To recognize what is no longer aligned.
To listen to your inner knowing.
To connect with your higher self.
To identify what you truly want.
And then to begin taking steps toward it.
Coaching is not required for this transformation.
Every person has the ability to learn, grow, evolve, and reconnect with themselves.
But support can help facilitate the process.
Sometimes we need someone to ask the question we have been avoiding.
Sometimes we need someone to reflect back what we already know.
Sometimes we need guidance, clarity, encouragement, or a safe place to explore what is changing within us.
And sometimes we simply need permission to admit:
I want something different.
You do not have to know exactly what that “different” is yet.
You do not need the entire plan.
You do not need to blow up your whole life tomorrow.
You simply need to begin listening.
Your intuition may start with a whisper.
A curiosity.
A discomfort.
A desire.
A quiet knowing that there is more for you.
And the more you learn to listen, the clearer that voice can become.
If you are feeling that pull toward something different, I offer both one-hour intuitive healing sessions and deeper intuitive coaching support.
Explore my services, notice what speaks to you, and choose the one that feels most aligned.
Sometimes your next step begins simply by honoring the nudge.
